Titian langkah di Pesta Tanglung UTM 2010

Gambar di atas menunjukkan diri penulis di tapak festival dalam melakukan tugasnya dengan penuh minat dan keseronokan.


Pada 1 Julai 2010, berlangsung satu festival Pesta Tanglung telah diadakan di Tapak Kokurikulum UTM pada jam 7 petang yang berlangsung selama dua hari berturut-turut iaitu pada hari Jumaat dan Sabtu.Antara acara yang disusun mengisi festival pada malam itu ialah majlis pembukaan oleh Yb Datuk Ir.Dr.Wee Ka Siong ,yang merupakan Timbalan Menteri Pelajaran kini dan diikuti oleh ucapan beliau,begitu juga dengan ucapan daripada Prof. Madya mohd.Zahid bin Hj.Deraman.Turut hadir pada festival itu ialah Muhammad Zaki Bin Omar, 25, Presiden Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Mahasiswa UTM.Menurut beliau,program ini telah mencapai objektifnya iaitu memperkenalkan tamadun bangsa cina serta kebudayaan dan kesenian negara,selain daripada meningkatkan polarisasi kaum dalam suasana kampus, beliau juga menyatakan bahawa MPMUTM amat menyokong secara total program yang mengangkat karya tradisional seperti ini dan berharap ianya akan diperluaskan lagi di peringkat yang lebih global.Bukan itu sahaja,malah program seperti ini juga dapat mengasah bakat kepimpinan dalam diri komuniti yang terlibat dalam menjayakan festival tersebut. Persis kata mutiara,kekitaan yang erat ,tiada yang berat.Justeru itu,program seperti ini dapat menyemarakkan semangat perpaduan dalam kalangan penuntut-penuntut di universiti. Di sebalik pesta Tanglung ini ,tersingkap suatu sejarah yang bemakna dalam masyarakat Cina.Menurut sejarahnya,Pesta tanglung ini mula diraikan pada setiap tahun kerana memperingati sejarah kemenangan puak pemberontak Han dalam menjatuhkan kerajaan Dinasti Yuan dengan menggunakan mengadakan strategi dengan menyampaikan maklumat untuk memerangi orang-orang Mongolia ini melalui kuih bulan yang diedarkan dalam kalangan masyarakat Han.Bukan itu sahaja, persembahan kesenian dan aktiviti yang dijalankan cukup menarik dan festival tersebut dihuni oleh ribuan orang termasuk dari luar kawasan kampus.Menurut saudara,Tan Wei Jie,21,ahli komuniti Pesta Tanglung ini,beliau berpendapat bahawa program seperti ini dapat melonjakkan lagi tahap apresiasi kesenian dan kebudayaan tradisional di Malaysia.Mudah mudahan festival seperti ini dapat dijadikan satu persepsi yang membawa wajah keseluruhan budaya masyarakat serta dapat dijadikan proses penghebahan budaya yang disulami inovasi dalam teknologi, mewujudkan ruang kepada kaum-kaum di negara ini untuk memahami budaya satu sama lain, lebih-lebih lagi memperkenalkan ciri istimewa budaya bangsa kita kepada masyarakat antarabangsa. Justifikasinya, program seperti ini juga mampu untuk mengangkat taraf kebudayaan negara ke tahap mampu “duduk sama rendah dan berdiri sama tinggi” dengan negara luar.

speed Programming in UTM

6 March 2010,FSKSM-Anther brilliance game was conducted by a very creative association,PERSAKA.The speed programming competition was a very challenging game for all the participants as they were required to complete certain programming based on the task given in a limited time.The competition was open to all the first year students in the computer science and information system faculty.A very encouraging response from all the students are vey well appreciated by the society.The participants are only required to use C++ programming language and no other programming language ere allowed.The winner won to Hendra ,1SCR with RM200 and a certificate,The first runner was , Nithi Surachman ,1SCR ,with RM150 and also a certificate and 2nd runner up was ,Muhammad Hisyam Bin Md Gapar ,1SCV with RM100 and certificate.Ten hampers were given as the consolation prize and all the participants were given a participating certificate.According to Muhammad Syahmi Bin Zainul Arifin,the Director of the Speed Programming Programme,he was very glad for the encouraging response from all the first year students from all courses in this faculty which are SCV, SCJ, SCD, SCB dan SCR. He also hoped that the competition will be held again and can be used as a tool for the students to have a healty competition among them.In addition,the programme also gave a valuable experience for the freshie and to expose them to the reality of working phenomenon in the real world after they graduate .He also added that the programme should be a yearly programme to the faculty to enhance the talent among the science computer students in programming.Besides that,He also suggested that the scope of the programme should be widen as a yearly’s programme for the university and the competition should be open for all the universities in all over the world.Hence,we also supports the suggestion as it is parallel with the UTM missions to be well known as the world class university.I believe that these programs are important for the future of the students and university’s level.

when i got there
eventhough only for 4 days and 3 nights
and the best part was that i got a chance to perform on a theatre~aspirasiku~
it was my first time
i could not believe it
haha
quite funny
but i could not forget the family(family angkat)that i stayed with
The mother was very kind
cooking all the bfast,lunch.tea ,dinner and supper at the right time
and for a very delicious chocolate cake everyday
i never felt being appreciated by anyone that way
even i just knew her but she treat me like she was taking care of me for years
when i want to go back at UTM
she gave me a present__a shawl

SECOND TALLEST MAN IN THE WORLD

The second tallest man in the world invoked UTM 43TH Convocation Fiesta


TUESDAY,16 AUGUST 2009- Every visitors was speechless and amazed and their head was turning 180 degrees at one corner and with an unbelievable eyes on what they seen when Ijaz Ahmed,27 , begun his first step into the UNIVERSITY TEKNOLOGI MALAYSIA convocation fiesta .All the visitors were impressed for his height which is 256 centimeter with 287 pound weight.Everybody that was standing next to him will looks like a dwarft.On the first day,Ijaz Ahmed had beaten the rest of the booth that were opened in the fiesta as all the crowds were focusing more on him.

Instead of being awed by this ‘world record holder’ that everyone was proud of, all of us felt really bad and sad for this gentle soul and the great discomfort he had to go through .More than that,he was also collecting fund to undergoes an operation for his left feet that start to grow abnormally due to the car accident that was occurred to him when he was travelling in his hometown.

His left leg condition that is longer than his right leg were giving him an imbalance problem and with his height that is too tall,he could not walk alone without anyone to accompany him and also his wand. Besides that,he was the only one who is different that the rest of his family members.He has six brothers and four sisters and he was borned in Bhaker,Pakistan.

No matter how imperfect is that someone,but all human beings were borned with heart and a feelings as a gift.Eventhough,Ijaz Ahmed is not having a normal physical personality, and sometimes it was very tough, being a man who is different than all the people around you , but it does not mean that life must go in a passive way for Ijaz Ahmed. Ijaz Ahmed had represented Pakistani Nation and culture through the world from time-to-time.That was an impressive achievements about him.He also dreamed to have a good health and be successful in education.

Furthermore,he loves natural beauty,simplicity and thruth but he hates duality,injustices and extortion.During the fiesta ,he was collecting donation by the payment that the visitors made when they were taking pictures with him.
Hence, “His chair was also designed special according to his needs and his chair has become his best friend since the chair followed him to everywhere he went and had travelled to more places than the human does,”said Mohammed Yaseen,Ijaz Ahmed manager during an interview session.
